Rainbow Club

The LVE Rainbow Club is for all and any residents looking to meet friends and find activities they can share. Join now for an enjoyable and friendly space to plan activities, have fun, and share interests. The Club, all activities, and events are open to ANY and ALL residents, and guests to enjoy. We welcome event suggestions and Committee members. Dues $5.

Activities and events will include dances, game nights, ethnic cooking lessons, vendor demonstrations, try our hands at theatrical productions, pot luck dinners, group activities off site, and just plain, old socializing. You don't have to be gay to join or attend.

Genealogy Research Seminar. Learn how, why, and where to document your family roots. Blank forms and genealogy software given to each registrant.

April 21, 4 PM, Auditorium, Free

Ethnic Pot Luck Dinner & Recipe Swap.Bring your favorite dish (& recipe card) for the group to sample. Please bring dish in a disposable aluminum half or full size deep steam pan (available from supermarket or Amazon). Cookbook will be compiled for possible sale. If you plan to participate, please leave your contact info and recipe in Mail Slot #16.

Magic & Comedy Night with Denny More, Comic-Magician, Mentalist, Hypnotist. A fun night of illusion, magic, mind reading, laughs, and a lot of fun. (www.dennymore.com).

June 9, 2024, Barton Hall Auditorium, Free, time TBA Bring Your Laptop To Barton. A mature adult's answer to 'bring your daughter to work.'' Learn some cool tips and tricks on your computer. Laptop not necessary but bring paper and pen for notes.

August 10, 2024, 6:30 PM Barton Hall Auditorium, $TBA.

Old Time Radio Broadcasts. Relive the days of sitting in front of the radio. Listen to the actual old broadcasts. Bring your snacks and beverage. Yes, jammies are allowed.

September 28, 2024, 5:30 PM, Barton Hall Auditorium. Price TBA.

Oktoberfest. Be transported to a German Beer Garden. Practice your Chicken Dance & polkas. Zicke, Zacke, Zicke, Zacke, Hoi, Hoi, Hoi (toasting song). Live band. Delicious German dinner. DIY Lederhosen instructions from old pants, and chicken dance moves will be available ahead of the dance. Prost!

October 13, 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, Car-pooling, off site.

Ghost / Historic Hindenburg Tour / Lakehurst. Tour the site of the Hindenburg Disaster, historic Hangar One (said to be haunted and previously featured on Ghost Hunters in 2009, Syfy Network), the Ready Room, and more. Car-pooling, off site.

November 3, 2024, 6:30 PM, Barton Hall Auditorium

Free Hot chocolate bar and cookie sampling. Bake up your favorite cookies for all to sample.

Looking for committee members to help organize, brainstorm, and assist at events. We can't do it without you. Dues for 2024 are only $5. Membership is open to any and all residents. Please note events and/or details subject to change.
